Liked: Everything was amazing, the grounds are incredible the bed is so comfy the room was amazing, the pool and sauna were brilliant and the staff are wonderful and breakfast was very good

Liked: The property is located in a beautiful scenic area . On our stayed found the property to be in need to some repair . Pool area ceiling requires attention as does back water drop behind jacuzzi . One button on jacuzzi does not work . We tried out the sauna and unfortunately noticed toe nail clippings on the floor . My husband went out to the reception to exchange wet towels for dry towels and was left standing for 10 mins ignored by 3 staff members who were chatting behind the desk . In general the hotel looks tired and in need painting eg doors skirting boards
Disliked: Emma on reception was helpful and informative. We went to the bar for pre dinner drinks and the lady serving behind the bar was rude and short not only with us but with customers., she gave the impression she definitely did not want to be there . We ate in the Brasserie and despite being guests at the hotel we were immediately told the maximum time we could have our table for was 90 mins as the hotel was busy . This table was reserved prior to our arrival and this information was not advised and in honest was a bit cheeky . I ordered a wagu beef burger which was tasty but nothing to write home about presentation was poor . We ordered dessert and tea/ coffee to finish our meal To speed up or departure or tea/ coffee came first and then our dessert . Overall for the price paid for the hotel this was a very poor experience.

Liked: Beautiful hotel & most of the staff were great. Rooms were amazing!
Disliked: We couldn't get food in the evening so don't book this hotel last minute. We were told we can go down to the restaurant/ bar and could get Chips & nuggets and that sort of thing but both restaurants were fully booked. When we went downstairs for food(we were starving) we were sent away, we explained we were told to come down. When we got a table (plenty free) we asked for the bar menu but were told we could only order off the kids menu....so strange ! Not a great experience. Same at 12pm the next day we wanted food & couldn't get anything. It's a fabulous hotel but just good to be aware of this limitation.
