Fab hotel just a short...

PortoBay ticks all the boxes

Liked: This is an exceptional hotel where even if you’re on a sightseeing tour abroad, you’re still happy to spend time in the hotel because it is such a pleasant experience In a perfect and peaceful location in the best part of Lisbon. Even if the Lisbon weather is not so great, the ambiance inside the hotel makes up for it. We especially liked the spacious room with private balcony, friendly and attentive staff, welcome fruit bowl and daily bottle of water, and the dining options. This was our first time at the PotoBay Liberdade, and after seeing the pool, roof deck, and spa, we will include them in our next itinerary. I also liked PortoBay’s YouTube video series.
Disliked: It was all great! Next time, I will remember to request an extra towel for my post-shower hair, and I learned that for booking purposes, it’s best to use Chrome or IE, and not Safari.

Liked: Likes:Diana from Guest Relations was incredibly helpful—such a shame I didn’t get to thank her before leaving. She managed to organize a beautiful flower delivery for my friend's birthday in under an hour, which was very impressive. If your room faces the main road, you’ll get a lovely Parisian vibe with a charming view. The location is perfect for shopping lovers—close to many high-end stores. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the greenery in April made for a fresh and peaceful start to the mornings.Dislikes: reception team is a bit lacking with english, during my check in the girl at reception stated that she needs my card for guarantee extras, but without my consent nothing cant be charged to the card. During check out they said you owe this much and I paid that one by cash, then after my leave (4 hours later) they charged my card without informing, good that i had sms notification. When i called them girl firstly said write email, then tried gaslighting that everything is right, i needed to be charged. But my main concern was not money, being charged without imforming me! Too shame for hotel with 5 star which costs 300 euro per night doing this kind of things.Oh dont choose breakfast later during your stay, better book in advance with booking. Coz at booking they state breakfast for extra of 16 euro, in the spot they hand out bill for 22 euros .when i asked the receptionist she said we are aware of this discrepancy, the price in booking is wrong. Not a good behavior again for 5 star hotel. I would never go back to that place. Close by there is other 5 star hotels which are close to train station,to fancy restaurants Also amenities are a bit old.

Liked: The room was very centrally located. The rooms well appointed and comfortable. Although unusual to have a shower over a bath these days. Breakfast was excellent, although rather busy at 09:00 on the Sunday morning. A small criticism, but we would have expected the bottle of water to be replaced each day.
