Exquisite, whimsical village in North...

Liked: A property that in pictures does not do it justice. Must be seen and enjoyed in person. Great cafes, excellent staff and lovely shops with homemade items. An idealistic break from the modern world, it felt like being in a European town from another era.
Disliked: The location is a bit far but oh so worth the journey. Also prepare for lots of steps and uneven roads (but very worth it).

Great location with good rooms...

Liked: Location stunning, room had nice views, Breakfast could have been better, poached eggs undercooked and runny. Hotel restaurant was overly expensive and the food disappointing. Service was very slow. The Bistro was no better. The batter on the fish was over cooked with rock hard batter. The chips were also overcooked. £70 with 2 glasses of wine not value for money. Would stay again but eat elsewhere.
Disliked: Breakfast and both restaurants

Somewhat disappointed and underwhelming so...

Liked: It was as lovely to stay in Portmeirion Village and nice to wander around when the general public had left.
Disliked: Service on the Castellated Deudraeth was slow at lunch and we were put to sit by windows on a scorching hot day. Breakfast service was slow and the food was all over cooked and dry.
