Built by a visionary architect in 1925 Portmeirion Village & Castell Deudraeth overlooks the beautiful Dywryd Estaury. Located just south of the coastal village of Porthmadog on a private peninsula the hotel offers a spa and wellness center an on-site mini market a bar and a restaurant. Rooms are located at either The Portmeirion Hotel or Castell Deudraeth or in the village rooms and suites. The brightly decorated rooms each have a unique design. They feature a TV a telephone an private bathroom and a hairdryer. There is also free on-site parking a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi access. The hotel has a number of award-winning restaurants that offer an extensive breakfast lunch and dinner menu including Hotel Portmeirion Restaurant and Castell Deudraeth Brasserie. Caernarfon Castle is a 40-minute journey by car and Llanfair Slate Caverns are 34 minutes' drive away.

Must do better; we had...

Liked: Great location. Comfortable beds. Ruth in housekeeping was genuinely interested in our satisfaction and deserves recognition for her hospitality and customer care.
Disliked: One porter, Neal was rude. The dispense barmen repeatedly threw empty bottles crashing into bins behind the bar which could easily be heard by diners and customers in the lounge. Restaurant service for fine dining was average. Management presence was invisible. I complained at check out and the receptionist took no notes and seemed totally disinterested.

Great location and cute village...

Liked: Wonderful little village , food was great at the hotel, was a little pricey for the meal. Great grounds to walk around and wonderful views.
Disliked: Felt disappointed with the room. Quite old fashioned and needed an update given the cost of the room, I didn’t feel the price reflected the room.
