Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans appreciate this hotel’s prime location in the heart of Portland’s Old Port district—just a short walk or quick ride to many downtown venues. The area is lively but the hotel maintains a peaceful, quiet atmosphere for post-show relaxation. With late check-in (from 4:00 PM) and a helpful front desk team, you can roll in after soundcheck without stress. Its proximity to rideshare routes and garages makes late-night returns easy too.

Food and Drink Options

The hotel’s on-site restaurant offers fresh, local fare with a cozy dining room perfect for a post-show wind-down. Breakfast is available on-site, ideal for sleeping in and fueling up after a long night.

Nightlife Options

The Portland Harbor Hotel is just minutes on foot from bars, lounges, and intimate live music spots that carry the night long after the encore ends. While the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music, its location makes it easy to keep the vibe going or call it a night when you’re ready. The on-site bar serves up local craft beers and cocktails in a relaxed setting.

What People Say

Many reviewers mention the comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere, perfect for recharging after an energetic show. Others highlight the convenience of valet parking and the charm of the surrounding area.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that valet parking can be pricey, and a few mentioned wishing for room service later into the night. However, with so many late-night spots nearby, most don’t find this a big issue.

Good hotel for Portland

Liked: The outside seating area was good, as was location. Good, free coffee available all day. The rooms have hard wood floors, and are clean. For a Portland hotel - and we've stayed in a lot of them at this point - this is one we'd consider going back to.
Disliked: The room was very small though clean. I liked the pantry but it wasn't kept well stocked. On the Saturday we were told to ask for our car at 6am as 'every guest' was going to camp visiting day (as we were). When we got back around 5pm and taking a little break before going out for dinner, housekeeping knocked insistently over and over before we even had a chance to get to the door. We asked them not to bother, but wondered why, since they knew everyone would be gone all day, housekeeping didn't simply come earlier. Weird. The $35 daily charge and $45 parking fee were exorbitant and presumably how they come up as cheaper than other hotels.

Not great.

Liked: It was highly ranked and available, people were nice
Disliked: Very expensive for what it is. Room was right next to an extremely noisy bar open until 1 am.
