Located on the shores of Loch Fyne on the west coast in Argyll Portavadie offers a range of contemporary accommodations dining shopping outdoor activities and spa and leisure facilities. Portavadie features the Marina Restaurant and Bar which the culinary team focus on local and seasonal produce and Loch Fyne's famous seafood is on the menu with sumptuous views over the Marina. A full Scottish breakfast is served daily. The surrounding area is wild and remote with beautiful hills glens rugged coast and white beaches as well as lochs and ancient forests. Superb

Liked: The location is beautiful. Would come back and explore the surrounding area more. Interesting to see the yachts.
Disliked: I suffer from back pain and found the bed too much on the soft side. I wasn't able to find any information about recycling in the bedroom. This would have been useful.

Disliked: The regimental booking for everything! Just felt very controlling for us! We have never had this experience! So we will not be back at portavadie because of this..

Sorry, but very disappointed

Liked: Evening meal was very good. Waiting staff were polite and efficient. Breakfast was good
Disliked: I appreciate the weather was awful during our visit, but apart from the 90 minutes allowed each day in the pool area there is very little to do in the complex when the weather is so bad.No cosy bar area or coffee area. There are approx 4 tables allocated in the restaurant area to have a coffee or drink but it is not a comfortable/cosy environment. We arrived mid afternoon, after driving for 3 hours and felt unwelcome asking for a coffee. Last booking for evening meal is 7.30pm - a bit early for us especially when there is nowhere to have a post dinner drink.Bedrooms in Lodge complex are very clean but basic and functional

Brilliant

Liked: Both breakfast and dinner, the food was good
Disliked: Self service coffee and tea machine at breakfast. A big NO. During a busy breakfast having to wait in a queue. Not sure why the waiting staff served juice and not tea and coffee.Waiter service at evening meal a lot better than breakfast.Breakfast staf. Not asking if we had had breakfast before and explaining the process. Heard a number of other guests not knowing what to do on the first morning
