Set in 16th-century coaching inn the Poolewe Hotel overlooks Loch Ewe and Inverewe's botanical gardens. Local produce is served in Poolewe's restaurant. A range of malt whiskeys and local real ales are served in the bistro and bar area. A pool table darts board and HD TV are also available. An undemanding cycle path alongside Loch Ewe is in the immediate area. Scenic hill walking is possible in the surrounding Wester Ross countryside. A TV and tea and coffee facilities and a private bathroom are provided in each room. Some rooms feature beautiful mountain or sea views.

Adequate stay but watch out...

Liked: Good location on our route. Evening meal was pleasant and breakfast more than adequate
Disliked: Left designer swim shorts behind and upon returning 30 mins after checkout, room was completely cleaned and shorts missing. Staff had no idea apparently but must have been left in the room and taken by staff. I sent a follow up email but never got a reply so very poor customer service

Liked: Our stay met our expectations, the welcome was warm, the room and beds were good and the dinner and breakfast in the hotel were excellent. This hotel is recommended for anyone who wants to book an overnight stay or a stay in the area.

Crap

Liked: Dated, like a retirement home, TV on wheels, signs on windows saying do not open… £200 a night for a prison

Nice location to stay when...

Liked: The room was nice, comfy and clean.Dinner was good allthough a bit cold in the restaurant.Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Dinner was good allthoug as said, cold and our table was not really clean when we arrived.
