Ponce De Leon Hotel

Not having clean sheets; the poorly lit room; tiny bathroom with a mirror - too high for me to use; the reading light fell off the wall. These were minor issues. Unfortunately I had to stay a second night. Oh and when they gave me a new sheet they didn't give me a new mattress pad which was also filthy.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: The sheets had not been changed from prior guest.

We stayed at the Ponce De Leon while in St Pete for a concert at Vinoy Park. It was a beautiful, short walk to venue as well as amazing food and drinks afterward. We will definitely be visiting again!

Liked: Perfect location to walk around DT St Pete.
Disliked: Parking is off site, but not too far away!

Thank you for your follow up email, however we did not have an enjoyable stay. It took over 30 minutes to check in. Two ladies were at the desk, one on the phone. When we checked in we put our things in our room and left briefly, to come back to someone in the room with the door wide open, with my purse on the bed. The bathroom floor still had the guest's hair from before us all over it. And the desk all but tipped over when we opened one of it's doors. When asking any of the front desk people for assistance on finding parking, good restaurants, or even telling them about our dislikes they were absolutely no help to us. Just a shame.

Liked: I liked the location.
Disliked: Disgusting.

It was good but they had to fix the elevator and our room was on the 5th floor and we had to walk all those stairs.

Liked: It was cold.
Disliked: No elevator.

Was warmly greeted and quickly booked into our room. The reception clerk was friendly, smart and very helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent and the room was well appointed. A great room for the money! We had a great time. The tapas restaurant attached is great.

Liked: Clean and very nice room. Nice tiles in the bathroom; nice wood floors; comfortable beds; great view of St. Pete. The location is excellent, in walking distance of many good things in St. Pete.
Disliked: Need a light in the shower - very dark. Also, the construction nearby made walking difficult.

I probably would not stay there again if all the rooms are like 202 where we stayed. I would pay the extra money for a better hotel. I go to St. Petersburg frequently for concerts and this hotel was disappointing. You get what you pay for I guess.

Liked: Staff was friendly; price was okay.
Disliked: Room was damp, musty and humid. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Very clean and organized. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great deal for the money; great location to everything downtown St. Pete.

I read either horrible or great reviews prior to my stay so I was ready for the worst. I was pleased that the place seemed clean and I didn't see anything that didn't work nor did I see any bugs. The Ceviche restaurant was incredible! I would go back there anytime. While the hotel is old, the people I met there were friendly and helpful. It did seem more hostel like than hotel like but I would stay there again. The park behind the hotel is incredible.

Liked: Great location; easy to find.
Disliked: Musty room smell; small bathrooms.
