Polynesian Hotel Wisconsin Dells - Near Noah's Ark

One big disappointment, they need...

Liked: Size of the room was decent, location was good. Besides that really nothing else good
Disliked: In the 5 nights we were there the outdoor Waterpark wasnt open once, indoor was only open twice. Can tell by the appearance of the place that at one time it was great and probably one of the better places in the dells, but I would do everything to avoid it now.

Bad

Disliked: The hotel and grounds were extremely run down. Almost looking condemned. None of the grounds were mowed or kept. Broken screens and shattered door with tape keeping it together. My kids socks were black from our room. Multiple pools were not working. They asked for a $20 early check in fee, we arrived at 3, check in was at 4. I will be surprised if this hotel makes it to the end of the year.

Liked: Rooms were very clean, shower pressure was good. Variety of pools made the stay worth it for the kids
Disliked: Checking in was a lot, was told to do it virtually but still had to do it in person, (virtual seemed pointless for that reason), staff checking me in were unfriendly, but changed their tone to speak with other coworkers just fine.checking out, were told to just drop card keys on a basket up from and received a text if we left yet an hour before checkout. Chairs in the room were wobbly and squeaky when in use. Requested rooms next to each other, got a room next to some other family that kept messing with the locks, while we had our family 3 rooms down from us.

Disliked: there was hair in the drain and waterpark was down

Stay was mediocre

Liked: The location wasn’t bad had to travel to another hotel which wasn’t far to use their pool .
Disliked: Turned in all my towels after the first night went to front desk for more towels never got any towels until the next morning so no towels for a whole day.

Liked: Nice, spacious room
Disliked: When we called the front desk multiple times, no one answered. When we finally went to the front desk, the two staff members were sitting there talking. We had to ask multiple times for clean towels & a change of the garbage can. It wasn’t until we arrived that we were told that the resort part of the hotel was closed, which was one of our primary reasons for coming. We were in like for over half an hour just to get checked in. We also completed all the necessary steps for pre-check-in, & still had to complete the same steps upon arrival. The hotel has a number of policies and fees for any extra damages or incidents upon stay, yet it took several attempts to the front desk to address the louse noises of a family right above our heads, both during quiet hours and outside of them, to finally be addressed. We couldn’t go to sleep until close to 1AM because the family above us was allowed to consistently make this noise. Overall, the staff was very lackadaisical in their efforts, and what we paid for was not at all reflective of the service we received. We will not be coming back to his hotel & will not encourage anyone else to attend.

Disliked: Room smell like mashed potatoes. And pool was shut down:(
