Repeat visit to this charming...

Liked: Comfortable hotel (not too small or large and impersonal), elegant historic building with delightful garden in a central position in town. Nearby parking facilities. Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable bed and very good breakfast.

Just a little more attention...

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Disabled parking facilityAmbience of bedroom with fantastic views of the Cathedral. Suite 10Very central location. Intimate garden and secluded groundsOne felt comfortable within the excellent hotel environment. Will be returning for a much longer stay in Suite 16 at the end of April 2025 (even better view of Cathedral)
Disliked: Not enamoured with urine stains to underside of toilet seat , plus very loose seat and cover in bathroom. Wash hand basin stains around chrome outlet.Only one chair in a double room ?? Not good, but dealt with by reception staff within 2 minutes of phone call.Lack of combined location of mirror and power outlet with good lighting for ladies curling tongues etc.Restaurant menu lacked a good grill selection, hence will probably be eating out more on our next visit.

Superb

Liked: A boutique hotel close to the cathedral. Quiet and relaxing. Staff helpful and welcoming. Luxury interior, our room had a huge copper bath in a large bathroom which also had a arge shower. Parking is tight with space for two disabled drivers and one space for drop off, reception provide instructions and a map for free parking in designated area in nearby car park.

Good, parking a bind overall...

Liked: Location excellent breakfast good, staff excellent
Disliked: Parking was terrible, not so bad when the sun shines but awful if it’s pouring with rain.

Pleasant stay. Most staff really...

Liked: Beautiful hotel. Lovely size rooms. Fabulous view of the Cathedral, church and Oliver Cromwell house. Reception lass was lovely, bar staff extremely helpful and friendly. Fran was a really good lad. Couldn’t do more to help.Dinner was cooked well and tasty.
Disliked: I was hoping I didn’t need to write anything bad as it was all so lovely but, the amount of light coming in through the curtains made me think I had over slept yet it was only 01.20 hrs. A valence over the top of the rail would be good. Breakfast was ok tasted nice but could count the amount of baked beans on one hand

Good

Liked: location, room design
Disliked: The room was extra cold, and it took until morning to warm it up. I would prefer a breakfast buffet rathar than order on menu.

Stay was only for one...

Liked: Great location, stylish spacious room, clean, modern interior design but retained historic character, very helpful friendly staff.
