An atmospheric experience for couples...
Liked: What a fantastic place to experience an off-grid holiday! It was a last minute booking - very happy we found this place! Completely different to anything we've done before (other than camping, which I am not fond of). Hot showers in the morning - yay! toilets? yay! Went with a 1 year old which did not like the cot, so stayed in the bed with us. Do not recommend this to whoever is visiting with small children >.< But there was a playground, forests and nature all around, hot chocolate in the evenings (with a bit of baileys, which we really enjoyed!), marshmallows at the fire pit, a hammock, great stuff for little ones to enjoy. Definitely recommend this place for a family time, with little or no technology. Staff were amazing too.
Disliked: The quantity of fire starters was not sufficient to get us through the first night. When we visited it was chilly and it rained a lot, so we needed the fire on all night. We managed to get some more for the following nights, and once we've run out (I apologise to the owner for what's coming next...) we borrowed some from the communal yurt. The logs may have been too wet to light up as well... Either way, the remaining three nights were more comfortable.

Very good
Liked: What a beautiful site. Surrounded by nature and a wonderful set up. The staff have put together an amazing package. Stunning communal areas and also opportunities to look round the rest of the site. Hot chocolates and morning coffee was a nice touch. Amazing eco credentials and a site which seems to actually meet these!
Disliked: Make sure to take along pots and pans to cook or even cups and plates. You can rent these here but if they were supplied that would make it extra amazing!

Cosy, clean, comfortable, the perfect...
Liked: Wonderful location, nestled in the woods. Off grid and back to nature, as we all should live! Staff were lovely and provided everything needed. Facilities were perfect, coffee and hot chocolate were delicious…absolutely loved it!

AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FIND!
Liked: Absolutely loved this place! It's in a beautiful setting, the yurts are great and very homely and comfortable, lovely white bedding, with wood burners, which we didn't use as it wasn't cold enough! We stayed in a 'woodland' yurt, but they have others on the outside perimeter. In the woodland yurt you really felt as though you were right in the middle of nature and we weren't bothered by bugs or anything! Each yurt has its own BBQ and hammock outside, but there is also a communal kitchen with ovens, an enormous 'cold cupboard' and all the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils etc you might need. Bathrooms were great - you didn't feel as though you were in an 'outdoor' setting and the showers were powerful and hot! There's a wonderful 'hut' with swings for seats, where you can get snacks (honesty box) and they serve complimentary tea and coffee in the mornings and hot chocolate at night. There was also a TV and games yurt. Movie put on every evening and the staff come round to let you know... Everything is solar powered. Lovely touches, such as wheelbarrows to take your stuff from car to yurt, access to a walkie-talkie if you need to contact a member of staff, big Chesterfield sofas everywhere under canopies and twinkly lights in the trees at night, together with a communal fire-pit lit every night where you can toast marshmallows. The staff we met were FANTASTIC! - Kevin (I think) and the wonderful guy from South America (sorry, can't remember his name!) were so approachable, friendly and helpful, showing us where everything was and how everything worked - really friendly happy people who love what they do. They also have some retro caravans (see photos) Definitely worth checking out their website and they also hire the whole place out for weddings and functions. Definitely recommend!!!
Disliked: We had two kids (14 & 15) in our yurt and they get to sleep on big cushion-type things which are stored under the bed. I wouldn't say it was something we "didn't like", but the kids thought they were a bit thin. They looked comfy enough to us though!! Also came with lovely duvets and pillows. The only thing we didn't like, was that we only got to stay one night! Would definitely go back - and without the kids!
