Disastrous Late Night Check-In Experience

Disliked: Late check-in processI booked a three-day stay at Premium Plaza Hotel, Cologne for a business trip. Despite taking all necessary steps to ensure a smooth check-in, including informing both the booking platform and the hotel of my late arrival, my experience was incredibly distressing. My flight was scheduled to arrive late, and I specifically booked an extra night to avoid any issues. The hotel even requested I complete an online check-in, which I did, again noting my late arrival.Upon my arrival at the hotel at 00:15, I found the reception deserted, with no guidance provided for late check-in. I repeatedly called the hotel's main number with no answer, and after two hours of waiting without any assistance, I was left stranded. Due to a local football game, nearby hotels were fully booked, and I was forced to spend the night in my car.The next day, when I finally managed to check-in and asked to speak to the manager, I was confronted not by a professional manager, but by the kitchen manager, who proceeded to insult me, calling me stupid for not calling an emergency number – a number that was never provided to me at any point during my communications with the hotel.This experience has left me deeply disappointed and questioning the Premium Plaza Hotel's commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Not only was there a failure in communication regarding the check-in process, but the treatment I received was disrespectful and unprofessional. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for those who might arrive outside of regular hours.
