The Spotlight on Plaza London Hotel

East London Convenience with a Musical Twist

Modern and budget-friendly, Plaza London Hotel sits in the heart of East London’s vibrant East End, just a short stroll from Bethnal Green Tube Station. With fast access to Stratford’s Olympic Park and London’s buzzing West End, it’s a great launching point for concert-goers. The hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and smart TVs, plus the bonus of free Wi-Fi throughout. A shared modern kitchen and spacious lounge give it a homey, social vibe.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a hit with music fans thanks to its walking-distance proximity to Victoria Park, a major festival and live music destination. With the Tube just five minutes away, getting to gigs in Stratford, the West End, or Camden is simple—even late at night. Rooms are cosy but quiet, giving guests a calm space to recharge after dancing all night. The 14:30 check-in is helpful for early arrivals, and the Tube makes late-night journeys back a breeze.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends heading to a festival at the park or a gig in Stratford
Solo travelers looking for a clean and easy base near Tube links
Couples making a weekend of East London’s music and food scene
Fans needing downtime in a quieter, laid-back neighbourhood
Budget-conscious music lovers wanting value and location

Food and Drink Options

The Plaza serves up a classic English breakfast each morning—perfect after a late night. Though there’s no on-site bar or restaurant, guests can make the most of the fully-equipped communal kitchen, ideal for a post-show snack or shared meal. The area is packed with walkable local eateries, from late-night takeaways to trendy cafes.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is quiet, step outside and you’re minutes from East London’s buzzing nightlife. Bethnal Green and Shoreditch are nearby, offering craft beer bars, live DJ sets, and intimate music venues. Whether you’re into indie gigs or underground clubs, you’re in the right place.

What People Say

Guests praise the convenient location near the Tube and music venues, along with the friendly staff and solid value for money. The cleanliness and quiet rooms also earn consistently positive reviews, making it a smart pick for travelers who plan to be out enjoying the city most of the time.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the compact side, and the 10:30am checkout might feel a bit early after a late night. Some guests mention the stairs—so pack light or request a lower-floor room if mobility is a concern.

The Bottom Line

Plaza London Hotel is a smart, affordable base for concert-goers who want easy access to East London’s venues without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Karen C, Sheffield , visiting York Hall London

Disliked: Bulb out in light; room not clean and curtains would not close. Toilet didn't flush properly; shower and tap were just trickling, due to zero water pressure. Shoddy decorating and dated furniture and also couldn't get any WIFI. Went down for breakfast and it was just loaves of bread and a toaster and raw peppers and cucumber(?) and uncovered bowls of cereal. I just left the hotel with no shower and no breakfast - I was very disappointed and feel the price charged was a total rip off. I don't know how I managed to bite my tongue and not say anything, as I want my money back. I would never stay here again and definitely not recommend this place to anyone. I paid £123.00 for one night here and feel ripped off. Plaza London is somewhere Ricky Gervais should send Karl Pilkington to.

Good location, bad vibes (WiFi)

Liked: The hotel was not too far from the metro station, so it had good access to the city centre.
Disliked: The wifi in the room didn't work, probably because of the many people using it. Although my friend asked the staff to check, the staff member said that the wifi worked well for him and didn't do anything else, so we had to use mobile data during our stay. Also, the room was nothing like in the pictures, it was smaller and had a small double bed which was uncomfortable to sleep in together.

Should be shut down

Liked: Absolutely nothing
Disliked: The room was dirty, smelly and moldy. I walked out and payed for another hotel. I knew I will not get a refund but I didn't mind. I couldn't stay 10 minutes in there. It was the worst accommodation that I have ever been. They couldn't pay me enough money to stay a night there. Just horrible

Value for money

Liked: The location was fabulous for our walking tour and we had a cute little terrace. I don't really understand why some say overpriced. If you want a 4star west end hotel you are looking at £350 a night. Reality check needed, this is good value.
Disliked: Double bed was only a small double so we were a bit squashed

BIG MISTAKE BOOKING THIS HOTEL

Liked: There was nothing to like apart from the gentleman on reception when we arrived. He was very pleasant.
Disliked: The room was TINY and there was nowhere to put our suitcases except in front of the door which completely blocked our exit from the room. The sheets had dirty marks on them. The beds were very uncomfortable and lumpy. The A/C leaked water. The wall above one of the bed heads had what looked like body fluids on it. The shower couldn’t be adjusted and only produced steaming hot water which burnt us. The key card we were given to us when we arrived gave us a hint of what was to come. The location is less than ideal for two women traveling on their own. I fairness, we received a partial refund as we moved out after two nights because the room was so bad.
