Liked: The location is great, and the exterior and grounds are well-kept and pretty. The room was spacious and had a nice little seating area outside. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: The bathroom of the “recently refurbished room” was in dire need of a re-do/deep cleaning. It was full of mold/mildew (including the shower curtain) and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in quite some time. The walls of the room are paper-thin - our neighbors came in loudly after midnight and we could hear every word they said - and then heard their TV that remained on all night. Check-in staff seemed tired of dealing with guests and were not very welcoming. Ditto the staff in the rental center.

Clean, newly renovated rooms beautiful...

Liked: Great value for the price - we were in the rose building - completely renovated and clean but at the other end of the property from activity - had no contact with staff the entire 5 nights. Property was also beautiful. Was worried after reading reviews here but our experience was great. My grandkids had a blast.
Disliked: My building was remote from the main building so felt security with that was not high.

Liked: View and walk out of back door to water view. Pool was close and restaurant had good food but a bit pricey. Pool food and beverage service was great with three kids. Highly recommend the Manatee tour with Laura!!! Kayak and Paddleboard rentals were easy and great with helpful staff like Janna
Disliked: Hot water (if we had it was a loooionnnnmggggg) time to get. The grounds were dated and buildings old but rooms were well renovated and clean

Expected more from a “resort”...

Liked: Grounds look nice: pool area was good.
Disliked: Staff wasn’t very friendly. Room wasn’t ready until an hour after check in. Two weddings going on and they were more concerned with those guests. Room wasn’t that clean especially in the bathroom.
