PHI Hotel Canalgrande

A nice historic hotel. Rooms...

Liked: It was an old property with many historic features, including portraits of the family who,previously lived there. There was a courtyard and a beautiful gardens. It was quite close to shopping , Churches, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was FABULOUS. The barroom was spacious, clean and bright.
Disliked: The room was quite tired, the carpeting was dirty and needed to be replaced, the wall were scuffed and needed a good cleaning.

Liked: Historical hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff, fantastic location.

Hotel with charm in a...

Liked: Very friendly staff, except in breakfast. One of few hotels with soap dispensers in the bathroom, so they are thinking about the environment. The terracce bar is a gem.
Disliked: Breakfast. Felt temporary in the basement, like in a big event hall. The staff was stressed. Not matching the rest of the hotel.

Liked: The foyer and lobby were old school wonderful. I love the way it made me feel when we entered. Seeing a touch of history. The staff were great and very attentive. The location was brilliant and walkable to all the major spots.
Disliked: The rooms are old. Very old. The carpet is frightening and the bathrooms from a different century. I wish the rooms were of a higher standard. I knew when I booked it they would not be great but I wasn’t prepared for how bad they were. The trade off is the price is reasonable.

Perfect for one night on...

Liked: The on show areas super! The area we stumbled upon set up to help yourself to drinks and snacks fab but not highlighted at check in surely a plus point to talk about? Rosallo? Kind helpful desk attendant who was smart and engaging on departure. The breakfast great choice.
Disliked: First room was awfully tired and grease marks where heads would rest. On arrival another guest asked for room change so be aware. Kindly the room was swapped and was better but carpets are filthy. A full renovation needed in bedrooms. Odd smell in corridors masked by perfumed sticks. Entrance cover is also dirty looking better to remove altogether.
