Disliked: The elevator did not work for 4 days we had to climb 4 floors with suitcases and kids few times a day

Disappointed, very expensive

Liked: Its location close to Gran Via.
Disliked: Very expensive price compared to the quality.Old fashioned rooms architecture.A terrible view overlooking garbage bins.A mediocre breakfast.Hotel with no porters nor security guards.There is no manager on site.Only one elevator, which is also often out of order.In my opinion, it doesn’t deserve its 4 stars.

Superb

Liked: Great small hotel. Nicely appointed and very clean. Staff were helpful and communication was excellent. They allowed us an early check in which was much appreciated after an overnight bus trip! Room and bed comfortable and shower room spacious and well equipped with toiletries towels. The location is excellent, very central and on a pretty square with local bars and restaurants close by. A great stay and good value.

Liked: We liked the location a lot. You are really close to many attractions and still the hotel is quite and even when staying in a room facing the square - which is quite lively - you get a decent sleep.
Disliked: Everything was great except one thing. The elevator broke down - which of course can happen - but it continued to be out of service for our last three days. Staying on the third floor this became a bit of a trouble since my husband has problems with his knees. After a day or so, they opened another elevator (otherwise used only by staff) but it didn't go down to the reception or the breakfast room, so we still had two rather long stairs to handle. It is unclear why they couldn't have the elevator fixed.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and have good advice on places to visit. Room was beautiful and clean and very comfortable. I even got a birthday treat and free champagne. My bestie and I enjoyed are stay incredibly
