Perfect for a short break...

Liked: We thought our breakfast was a good start to the day.The room was very well presented and met our requirements.The location was well within walking distance of the major attractions.
Disliked: Occasionally we had to use the staircase as the lift would not operate.

Disappointing

Great little hotel, good location.

Liked: Good selection including cereals, scrambled egg, bacon, and eggs for boiling, plus the typical continental choices.
Disliked: Information on getting to the hotel using public services rather than taxis from railway stations would be helpful.On arriving we did the typical tourist thing, as did several hundred other train travellers, and took a taxi from the Guard du Nord taxi rank to the hotel which cost us €67 and took nearly 45 minutes with no hold ups.On leaving, the hotel booked taxi cost us €22 and took approx. 15 minutes including a couple of minute long hold ups.We were obviously ripped off by the first taxi driver or there is a premium for taking a taxi from the railway station taxi rank. Had we known the metro was easily accessible from the GdN station and the metro station local to the hotel - Miromesnil - was only a five minute walk from the hotel.The metro cost €2.5 per person for a single journey.There is a negative side to metro journeys in that most trains on that particular route are busy most of the day often with standing room only. Not easy for two pensioners with a suitcase and a back pack to get on, but for others more mobile than us much cheaper than taxis.
