Great expectations, but great disapointment

Liked: Location and view we were supposed to have
Disliked: Bad smell in the room. No air conditioning on temperatures over 30 degrees. Smell from the kitchen. Obstructed view. Asking for service fee on the top of room rates. Scandalous!

Most enjoyable and situated on...

Liked: Excellent position overlooking the Thames.
Disliked: No air conditioning in room

Lovely hotel with wonderful views...

Liked: Room was fine - it was during the heat wave and we missed now having air conditioning, but there was a fan which worked well and our room had a wonderful view of fields and The Thames with a lovely balcony so we felt fresh even when it was over 30C. The head waiter at the restaurant was excellent. We ate there twice and had delicious food. Also the breakfast was exceptionally good.
Disliked: Everything was fine.

Liked: Location
Disliked: No Aircon just a fan in the room. Room was small and arguably not value for money.
