Exceptional

Great for a short stay...

Liked: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Very quiet and private. The shower was fantastic, great water pressure. The library bar is a cute and cozy area for a quick drink or snacks.
Disliked: no kettle to boil water for tea. somewhat unclear instructions on how to contact reception - my room was pretty close to the lobby so I could make the quick trip down but might not be convenient for everyone

Liked: The staff were very friendly though no one advised me of the $40:00 parking fee until I had to pay on check out.
Disliked: The parking experience was dreadful. Parking is in another hotel at the back of Peppers. The access from the parking is through a very dark courtyard connecting 2 hotels. This needs much better lighting for both safety and directions between the 2 hotels. No one advised me of the $ 40:00 parking fee until I checked out. This seems like a very high parking fee given the complicated access.

A very nice stay

Liked: Excellent location, nice staff, nice rooms.
Disliked: The restaurant is a little draughty. No ACB channels on the TV.

Having stayed at this property...

Disliked: Hotel getting tired. Bed heads peeling, heating a challenge to regulate, TV unable to receive all channels in our room and bath broken, when mended still not working as designed. Location while light rail works in progress not ideal

Disliked: They charged me 40$ for just an hour that we left our luggages in the room. I just arrived to Australia and I'm student.

The sleep was divine

Liked: How heavy the extra doona was and how warm the room was once I upped the temperature to 30 degrees. The shower was nice. How close it was to the National Museum and ANU, my two main stops, and not too far from halal restaurants. I was glad to leave my luggage behind at reception when I checked out so I could spend some time at the museum without dragging my stuff all the way there. Staff were super friendly and always smiling. Everyone in Canberra seemed so friendly
Disliked: There was some tapping at or around my door in the morning between 8:30-9:30, but I wasn't sure because it was like a very quiet tap. That uncertainty of not knowing if someone was or wasn't at my door was unnerving. I'm used to a proper knock with someone saying "room service". The room service folk came around at 9:40 with a proper knock but looked unsure of what to do when I opened the door. I asked for a few more minutes as I was about ready to head out
