Very good

Liked: Very welcoming and warm comfortable sitting areaswhich were lovely to relax in after a day out. The Restaurant had a good menu and was reasonably priced.
Disliked: Our ‘Elm Room with Balcony’ was very disappointing. We have stayed here on numerous occasions over the years and it was nice to see the lounge areas have been updated. However our room left a little to be desired. The bathroom and carpet are in need of updating. The entrance to the bathroom was actually dangerous as there was a rising slope and a 2 centimetre lip where it met the tiles!!!Lighting in room not adequate.

Beautiful Bowral

Liked: A gorgeous time of year. The grounds were beautiful.
Disliked: There was a terrible smell outside of our room, probably sewerage (this is what it smelled like). Room 113. The hotel was full so we could not be moved. They offered a free bottle of wine but we are not drinkers.

Liked: Love the quaintness of the place with the beautiful fires and areas to sit and relax. Staff are good, restaurant is great and the golf course is appreciated
Disliked: Shower had no water pressure, house keeping was poor

Damp and Mould in some...

Liked: Great locationBeautiful grounds
Disliked: Due to damp and mould, one room was not habitable, and a health risk, the other room required a window to be left open. As the hotel was full the first night we had to endure. Initial customer service to deal with this was very poor. Im still waiting for the office and general manager to call back. 4 days later. A meal was provided to compensate though it does not, this accom should not be offered or charged for.

Great property overall however room...

Liked: The overall property and sprawling grounds were absolutely lovely including the fireplace social areas. Staff at the reception and restaurant were friendly and professional.
Disliked: Dissatisfied with the room, it was small and stuffy. The air-conditioning was not functioning properly. Bad stench in the rear area outside the restaurant leading to the doorway to rooms. Glad it was just a one night stay!

Not as good as we'd...

Liked: For an older couple the gardens were lovely the facilities of tennis court etc were nice but not for us. The room which we thought would be a little piece of luxury for the price was average.
Disliked: The room which we thought would be a little piece of luxury for the price, was unfortunately average and small and lacking in conveniences.

Liked: Our receptionist was lovely, our room was in a fantastic location and it was beautiful (we were in Room 1), however this was a bit noisy at 2am with people arriving from events - it was still a stunning location for a room. Breakfast was great, the restaurant was a little pricey for the quality of the food - although the sourdough was lovely. We played billiards which was in a nice room and the wine list was great,
Disliked: Honestly everything was pretty great, other than the slight noise issue at 2am with people getting dropped off and our room being so central.
