Liked: Room was exactly as expected, location was great, 10 minutes walk from the Ring, grocery stores nearby, restaurants nearby, easy to reach with tram, too.
Disliked: The vent in the bathroom did not work, but even so, this was no real issue.

Liked: Superbly kind and accommodating staff! I was able to sit quietly in the breakfast room to take a few business calls after checking out which was a huge convenience. Located in the shadow of the Freud Museum and close to public transport and a Billa grocery store for maximum ease. The property feels like it was very recently renovated and fixtures are spotless and new. Daily cleanings, which feels like an extra luxury these days. The room was no-frills, spacious and well appointed with a small desk and chairs, giant wardrobe and—my favorite—plenty of wall hooks for easily hanging whatever you wanted. A small elevator will bring you to your floor if needed, otherwise easy, wide marble steps wind up the interior of the building. No A/C, but a big window and a ceiling fan and standing floor fan to create a good cross breeze.
Disliked: I arrived quite late and there could have been a little more informative communication about how to initially get to the check-in desk (which is on the second floor after entering the building from the street and proceeding down a hallway, turning to the left and walking up a few steps). Not impossible to figure out, but slightly daunting after a long flight and in the dark. This is not a critique, but it would have been even better if there was a mini fridge in the room.

Liked: Great location (very close to Freud’s house) and ten minutes from the University. The area is safe and with many bars, supermarkets and perfume shops. The staff is friendly and patient. Vienna is an expensive city and the costs are on the average. The only negative side is the absence of a functioning hairdryer despite what indicated on the website. I am complaining just because I would have brought it considering it was a cold week.
