Pennine Hotel

Excellent

Liked: It was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Our bathroom was outside the bedroom, but we didn’t mind at all as it was very spacious and probably nicer than most en-suites! Our room faced out to the square/main road which we thought might be a problem with noise, but it was super quiet at night and not an issue at all. It was nice place and freshly updated and we would recommend to others doing the C2C. Also within short walking distance of the Mango Tree, which was a great place for dinner!

Good value, central location in...

Liked: The staff were lovely and helpful.We were able to use one of the rooms to change for the wedding we were attending.
Disliked: We had all the rooms for one night and some were better than others, with poor mattresses and tired furniture. But as seen on the photos, so no surprises really and they were all very clean.There are a lot of stairs which is OK if you are aware before you book

Great stay at the Peninne...

Liked: Great room with a very good bed, tastefully decorated and spacious en suite bathroom.Good food and very pleasant bar area, again nicely decorated.
Disliked: Nothing really!

Liked: Location of the hotel in the central was good.
Disliked: The hotel was VERY noisy! if your on the first floor, the bar doesn't close until 11.30pm so it sounds like your sat with the customers. also they have outside seating, again can be very noisy. The room was very small & HOT!. appreciate the weather is out of our control but their was no AC / fans and if you opened the window the room was full of flys.

Clean but lacking......

Liked: No breakfast was included and it was not cheap. Worse no breakfast was available until 9am and we were leaving at 730...... Website implied the bathroom was adjoining the room but it was across a corridor. The food available which we didn't have was all burger and chips. On the other side of the coin it was all scrupulously clean
