Pendry Chicago is a sleek, upscale hotel located just off Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago—perfectly positioned for music lovers heading to nearby venues. With its elegant design, city views, and a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, it offers a comfortable base for your concert-filled getaway.
Just a short walk from Millennium Park and Cloud Gate, this 4-star hotel combines style and convenience with thoughtful amenities like a shared lounge, 24-hour front desk, and modern bedrooms equipped with coffee machines and flat-screen TVs.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're catching a show downtown, Pendry Chicago puts you right in the action. Just minutes from major venues and public transit, it’s easy to get to and from your concert—no rideshare scramble required. The 24-hour front desk and late 12:00 PM check-out mean you can hit snooze after a night out. Bonus: the hotel’s soundproofed rooms offer a quiet retreat when you're ready to unwind.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will love the social spaces and pool table in the lounge.
Solo travelers chasing that bucket-list gig will appreciate the safe, central location.
Couples making a weekend of it will enjoy the stylish rooms and skyline views.
Fans wanting peace post-concert will find comfort in the calm, modern vibe.
Budget-conscious music lovers might find it on the higher end, but the location and amenities make it worth the splurge.

Food and Drink Options

Pendry Chicago features an on-site restaurant and bar, with room service available 24/7—perfect for those post-show cravings. Several highly rated eateries and late-night spots are within easy walking distance. Breakfast is available (and worth it), even if your morning starts closer to noon.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more refined than rowdy, its bar offers craft cocktails and a stylish pre- or post-show hangout spot. You're also steps away from Chicago’s bustling nightlife, with live music lounges, rooftop bars, and clubs all nearby.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel’s central location, stylish interiors, and professional service. Many mention how quiet the rooms are, even in the middle of the city—ideal after a loud night out. Others love the walkability to parks, attractions, and public transport.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that parking can be pricey and fills up quickly, so plan ahead if you're driving. Also, while the vibe is upscale, those looking for a rowdier party scene might find it a little too polished.

The Bottom Line

Pendry Chicago is a stylish, centrally located hotel that gives concert-goers the perfect mix of downtown energy and post-show comfort.

Exceptional

Liked: A beautiful historic hotel in a great location . Friendly staff. Great restaurant and bar.
Disliked: That the rooftop bar was closed for an event. I wished I could’ve experienced that.

Very good

Liked: Staff and housekeeping were amazing! The location is perfect - we walked everywhere and took the redline to most places.
Disliked: There were two elevators out of the three and you had to wait sometimes up to 15 minutes for an elevator to be free and not filled with people and you couldn’t fit. The sounds from the streets is crazy - we faced the street and it was so loud. From the fire trucks - to the protestors - to the honking. It was all night long.

For the money we paid,...

Liked: The location was great. We had no issues walking almost everywhere. The building itself is incredibly beautiful with rich history. It was designed to look like a champagne bottle, and the top is even made out of real gold!
Disliked: We feel mislead. This hotel certainly DID NOT feel like a two MICHELIN Key hotel.1) "Included breakfast" is a lie. It's a breakfast "credit" we received of $60. According to my booking reservation, "Breakfast is included in the final price". No - it's not, you only get $60 and must pay beyond that. Our first breakfast (two cappuccinos, croissant egg sandwich, and pancakes) was $63. There goes our "included breakfast", after only one meal!2) The hotel room was subpar for a "two MICHELIN Key" hotel. We originally booked a City King, but were offered a discounted upgrade to a tower suite, which we happily took. The room just had so many little issues. For instance:- The front door would not close by itself, you had to really pull on it. And the bathroom door wouldn't latch at all. You could shut it, but the mechanism wouldn't engage (and you couldn't lock it).- The closet light would intermittently not work, which was annoying because it contained the only full body mirror.- The clothing steamer was on its last legs. There was metal debris within the water reservoir, and the steamer itself sounded like a helicopter when running.- The bathroom light automatically turns off after a bit. So, while taking a shower, all of a sudden the lights turned off!- A few other small things but not enough space here to write about.3) House keeping turned on a 6am alarm TWICE on our alarm clock. We were sleeping and all of a sudden we get jump scared by a loud alarm clock! Easy mistake to happen, because all you have to do is press the button on the top once. After that I checked each night and saw they engaged the alarm once more. Good thing I caught it.4) The elevators were horrendous. It appeared that only 1/3 were working. The lobby would get filled with people waiting up to 5 minutes or more.In short, I don't believe these things are acceptable for a "two MICHELIN Key"...

Great location and great property,...

Liked: Location and the size of the room.
Disliked: The noise that you could hear from the streets. It was hard to fall asleep and during the night I was woken up by the sirens from police and firefighters.
