Pleasantly surprised

Liked: Great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, games room for kids (and adults). Beautiful grounds, lots of peacocks, small gym, swimming pool with sauna and steam room ... I was pleasantly surprised. Perfect for a family with toddlers and young kids.
Disliked: Peacocks have a habit of poopping on the grass

Liked: Beautiful property and very friendly staff.
Disliked: We were disappointed that the swimming pool heating had broken. We had booked the hotel specifically to use the pool after a long walk but couldn’t use it so that was a real shame.

Could have been an amazing...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent and in lovely surroundings. The room was lovely too and there is a warm atmosphere to the place.
Disliked: The pool would have been lovely, but it was cold. A notice was posted at reception about this, saying it was lower than 22C, but it really was very cold. The steam room was also out of action. This took the shine off our stay a little. There was also no safe in our room and the hotel information was on the TV only and some of the information was blurry or out of date. Some of these are only small issues, but it showed that attention to detail was not quite right, which was a great shame.

A relaxing stay

Liked: Pendley Manor is a lovely hotel to relax in, there were many little corners, aside from my room, where I could sit and read/watch TV on my phone and just chill. I also enjoyed walking around some of the grounds.
Disliked: I was unable to find a menu anywhere for the restaurant, I consequently only had dinners in the bar, The restaurant has to be booked and without being able to see what food would be available and at what price, I was unwilling to book. I would also have liked to be able to find a map of the grounds as it is supposedly many acres, but I was only able to walk around a fairly small area. Both of these things, a menu and a map would surely be able to be put on the TV, as there was a personalised message to me on the TV in my room on arrival, so surely it would be simple to add these.
