Carlsbad Room Was Terrible

Liked: Close proximity to downtown.
Disliked: Our room was awful. The carpeting was so stained and the bed smelled like dog. The bathroom literally had a window open to another room’s front door and they could literally see in our bathroom. You can shut the blinds but there was no airflow whatsoever in the Carlsbad room. The parking is awful. It was the worst experience we’ve had in the three visits to this location. We won’t ever stay there again.

Bad experience, will not recommend.

Liked: Location is close to beach and town center.
Disliked: Room was only ready 2hr after check in time. The premise were not clean. The air conditioning in the window was 1 foot above my head, not able to close it. The room was very small with basic amenities. No personnel on site. No answer to message.

Relaxing week in a pleasant...

Liked: Excellent location! A block-and-a-half from the ocean, four blocks from Carlsbad Village. We never had to drive anywhere. The room was nice, relaxing patios, the caretaker was excellent, the lobby was convenient for coffee, tea, and snacks. It was a plus to have beach chairs and umbrella to use.
Disliked: Nothing really.

Liked: Room was okay, however we had requested ground floor.
Disliked: I booked about 30 days in advance and had requested ground floor, because of limited mobility. We ended up with 2nd floor room . I sent request via text asking about an early check-in the day before we were scheduled. Response was, "Hi Carlos,Unfortunately I can not guarantee an early check in at this time. I will reach out tomorrow morning when I can give you a more accurate time to check in". Never received follow up. On check-in day, about 30 minutes prior to 3:00,I sent text asking if we could check-in. Never got a response.

Very comfortable and great location!

Liked: I loved the warm shower in the back to wash off my wetsuit and bathing suit.
Disliked: It needed a little paint on the stairs.

Liked: The location to everything, all within walking distance, beach, shops and food.

Liked: It was a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had access to the utility room, (washing machine, towels,) beach chairs, toys and umbrellas available, if needed.
