Great hotel & location. Good...

Liked: Side Grandur Facilities Good - Drinks
Disliked: Being charged £5 per bottle of tap water at evening meal.

Very good

Liked: Some confusion over our room. Found contacting hotel less than perfect as you are always connected to the sister hotel.
Disliked: Happy with our stay. Interior of hotel very comfortable, beautifully decorated, views from room and small dining room charming. Exterior of hotel, especially windows need some work but we realise the upkeep of a large property like this will always require maintenance.

Disliked: the single room was tiny the bed was tiny and uncomfortablereception staff on checkout weren't very pleasant parts of the hotel are extremely tired and need an update no usb sockets in the bedroom television was unplugged and not tuned in

Disliked: The bed could do with a new mattress, thought the restaurant was expensive for evening meal so we (all 6 of us) chose to eat out every evening in the town

Liked: Room very good for access and showering facility Many thanks.. Unfortunately a neighbouring room was occupied by a dog which barked loudly when the occupants were away from the room for any reason. This did become rather annoying for the entire period of our stay.We did feel the standard of the TV was not what was expected in this quality accommodation.We had no complaints regarding the quality of the food in any of the locations. It is however unusual for the 2 options other than the Grill Room to be serving the same menus and some items , e.g. coffee not being a choice readily available in the Cocktail Bar. Again it did seem the options for dining other than the Grill Room didn’t really reflect those of a hotel of this standard.The service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent.
Disliked: During our stay my wife mislaid a cardigan ,possibly in one of the downstairs toilets. It was reported at Reception but unfortunately didn’t turn up during our stay. We weren’t aware of any atty attempts to investigate but staff at the spa Room downstairs advised us to enquire at Reception which we did a few times. Just an unfortunate and possibly careless action on our part.
