Peartree Lodge Waterside

Easy to check in; friendly staff; just a shame I was woken up very early by noisy staff outside my room the morning after my stay. Overall good hotel and good setting next to the canal.

Liked: Setting; cost; friendly staff.
Disliked: Being woken up early the following morning by noisy staff outside my room. This was around 7am and continued for hours until I complained from my room's window.

Wonderful Waterside views

Liked: We love the friendly welcome from the reception staff and the Waterside views. The fridge in the room is always a lovely addition and means that my husband can have fresh milk in his tea.
Disliked: I know that it is separate from the hotel but it is promoted by yourselves but the restaurant next door is not great, sticky tables and the food is often cold and not particularly tasty.

Disliked: Just a shame the bar was being refurbed so couldn’t have the breakfast

Disliked: Only downside was the pub next door was closed for refurbishment so no hot breakfast on site

Liked: Very friendly, helpful staff. Having a fridge and microwave in the room, along with plates and cutlery. Will definitely stay here again!

Disliked: Being woken up on our first morning at 0540 by the.noisiest laundry delivery vehicle ever.The rooms are tired, especially the bathroom. The adjoining Stinehouse pub is about to be refurbished. Perhaps the lodge also needs the same as the location, apart from the scruffy car wash adjacent is very good. It's very budget, very basic.Would I stay there again ..no chance.
