Easy to check in; friendly staff; just a shame I was woken up very early by noisy staff outside my room the morning after my stay. Overall good hotel and good setting next to the canal.

Disliked: Being woken up early the following morning by noisy staff outside my room. This was around 7am and continued for hours until I complained from my room's window.

Surprisingly pleasant canalside stay.

Liked: Nicely located next to the canal and marina, you could step straight out to lovely walks.The adjacent pub was busy, reasonably priced and friendly.It was easy to check in and arrange an extra night, and the staff were efficient and pleasant.There was even a fridge and microwave in the room, most unusual.
Disliked: The only negative thing I could say is that the room was boiling hot! It felt like the heating was on when it wasn't.There was a fan in the room so I'm sure it isn't a secret.
