The Spotlight on Peartree Farm

Charming Country Stay Near Concert Hotspots

Peartree Farm is a cozy, 3-star bed and breakfast tucked away in the peaceful village of Aldwincle, Northamptonshire. With its warm, homey vibe and beautiful rural setting, it offers a relaxing retreat that's still within easy reach of live music venues like Rockingham Castle and Fotheringhay Castle. Guests enjoy free WiFi, private entrances, and daily room service, making it a convenient and comfortable base for concert-goers.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a gig at a nearby venue, Peartree Farm is a smart choice. Located just 10 to 14 miles from several historic concert spots, it's easy to get back for a restful night. The tranquil countryside location means minimal noise after your show, and with free private parking, it’s ideal for those driving in from larger cities. While check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, the friendly hosts are known for being flexible when asked in advance.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a quiet retreat after a high-energy night
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples planning a romantic concert weekend
  • Fans wanting peace and quiet after a loud night out
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

While there's no on-site restaurant, Peartree Farm offers packed lunches upon request—perfect for post-show snacks or a road-trip breakfast. A communal guest lounge provides a space to unwind, and the in-room kettle and fridge make basic food prep easy. Local pubs and eateries are a short drive away, and breakfast is available to help ease into the day after a late night.

Nightlife Options

Though the B&B itself is more about quiet charm than rowdy nightlife, you’ll find cozy pubs and low-key village bars in nearby Thrapston and Oundle. For something livelier, head to Kettering or Corby, both within a 30-minute drive.

What People Say

Guests rave about the spotless rooms, friendly hosts, and peaceful atmosphere. Many mention how relaxing it feels after a busy day at an event, and the free parking is a big plus for those driving in. The rural setting and comfy beds get frequent praise.

Areas for Improvement

This isn’t the place for party animals—no late-night bar or on-site nightlife here. You’ll need to plan ahead for transport if you’re staying out late, as public transit options are limited. Also, the 10:00 AM check-out might feel a bit early after a concert night.

The Bottom Line

If you’re after a peaceful, comfortable, and budget-friendly stay close to historic concert venues, Peartree Farm is a hidden gem in the countryside.

A very pleasant stay with...

Liked: Had a very pleasant stay at this traditional farmstay b&b. The room was vastly spacious for the price paid with plenty of room to work, plus a guests sitting room downstairs as a bonus. The cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely and the hostess cheerful and helpful. The nearby market town of Thrapston has all the amenities one could need, and is about 5 mins drive. Overall, a very pleasant and good value traditional farmstay.
Disliked: Nothing, it was all good.

Liked: Our room was in a converted stable. A. very interesting farm location. The owner was very generous with toiletries, which were above and beyond expectation. Breakfast was wonderful, and the sausages from the village butcher were some of the best we had ever eaten. The owners were really friendly and helpful.
