The Spotlight on Peace and Plenty Inn

Charming Historic Escape Steps from St. Augustine’s Music Scene

Peace and Plenty Inn is a classic, adults-only bed and breakfast located in the heart of St. Augustine's vibrant Historic District. With its Southern charm, Victorian-style architecture, and peaceful ambiance, this inn offers a serene yet central location for music lovers. Each room is air-conditioned and features modern comforts like flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms with spa baths, and in some cases, even private balconies. Free WiFi and on-site parking make stays even more convenient.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're catching a show at one of downtown St. Augustine’s nearby venues, this inn’s location is hard to beat—just a short walk from Flagler College and the Lightner Museum. The quiet, adults-only setting is ideal for winding down after a loud night. With a check-in time of 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM, there's a bit of breathing room for late risers. Plus, a helpful concierge is on hand to assist with directions or late-night eats.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a grown-up getaway
Solo travelers chasing a dream concert in a historic setting
Couples planning a romantic music-filled weekend
Fans who prefer a restful, quiet recovery space after the show
Budget-conscious music fans who appreciate value with charm

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the inn is centrally located within walking distance of St. Augustine’s best eateries for post-show bites. A hearty breakfast is served on-site in the morning—perfect for recovering from a night out. Nearby cafés and bars also offer late-night options, and the concierge can recommend local favorites.

Nightlife Options

You’re steps from St. Augustine’s cozy pubs, local bars, and lounges with live music. Whether you're looking for a low-key nightcap or a little more post-show action, the Historic District has you covered. While the inn itself doesn’t host live music, it provides a quiet haven after a night on the town.

What People Say

Guests rave about the inn’s central location, peaceful atmosphere, and welcoming hospitality. The spa baths are a guest favorite for post-concert relaxation, and many reviewers appreciate the historic charm and personalized service. The complimentary breakfast also gets high marks.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the historic building means thinner walls and creaky floors—part of the charm, but worth noting if you're a light sleeper. There’s no elevator, so pack light if stairs are an issue. Also, being a B&B, it doesn’t offer traditional hotel amenities like a gym or 24/7 dining.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a mix of historic charm, quiet comfort, and walkable access to St. Augustine’s music venues, Peace and Plenty Inn is a perfect match.

Very good

Liked: The location is amazing. The property is unique.
Disliked: The parking lot is very small. I also think tables , chairs, or benches would be nice near the outdoor fountain.

Would try another bed and...

Liked: Location
Disliked: The breakfast was TINY. I think they scrambled 1 egg each. The staff seamed rushed and constantly short. For a bed and breakfast the vibe was not very relaxing.

Charming property in great location

Liked: We were welcomed upon arrival and check-in was a breeze. We enjoyed a quiet stay and felt safe and welcome throughout. The inn is in an easy-to-find, easy-to-reach location that is quiet and still within walking distance of the historic center. Stops for the trolley are also close by. The main building and carriage house have character and seemed well taken care of. Breakfast service was fresh and fast and the portion sizes were just right for us. The mango yoghurt blended on site was delicious! The shower was spacious, the water pressure and temperature both good. The AC in our room worked really well and quietly (to my surprise, as we have had mixed experiences with retrofitted AC), as did the fridge with mini freezer - this was great for keeping the truffles we got as souvenirs from melting. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned properly before our arrival. The toilet seat had excrement and urine on both sides. Normally, I would have said something right away, but because we were in a hurry to make a tour and because I urgently needed to use said toilet, I just improv-cleaned what I needed to. It looked like the only thing they had missed at the time. Later that night, when we went to bed, we noticed that even though the top sheet was clean, the duvet (or comforter?) was not. (The mattress also sags, but this is not a cleanliness issue.) In the morning, the steam from the shower revealed that the glass cabin had also not been completely wiped down. We were asked in the morning if we wanted fresh towels but the towels seemed fine so we declined. I think they had done a "dry" clean (towels, trash, vacuum) but not (yet?) a full clean before giving us our room. I don't know if that is typical here, but the overall state of the room did not suggest a systematic issue. Cleaning and the mattress should be easy for the inn to address, and afterwards it's a recommended place to stay.

Would stay here again. Quiet,...

Liked: Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood and easily accessible. The staff went above and beyond. I would stay here for that alone. We had issues with the a/c in our room and were immediately moved to another room.
Disliked: Although the decor is quaint and to the period. I feel some updates would be benefited. Small things like caulking, fixing faucet handles but we still loved the property.
