Magnificent location with very friendly...

Liked: - Marvelous location in the quartier Petite France- Booked a Pavillon corner room with direct views on the Ill River- Extremely friendly staff
Disliked: Nothing. Would have stayed longer

Exceptional

Costly but lovely

Liked: A lovely, if costly little hotel occupying simply the best spot in Strasbourg: on the canals, at the very heart of the magical old town that is straight out of a brothers Grimm tale, yet within easy walking distance of everything... The rooms are pleasant and blend well modern aesthetics and comfort with the ancient building. The "Pavillon" is probably a better option than the homonymous (minus the "Pavillion") main building thats a stone's throw away and houses the reception, bar, restaurant and tiny spa/gym.
Disliked: Temperamental centraly controled air conditioning makes staying in spring and autumn a bit of a hit-and miss, as it can make rooms uncomfortably warm if the weather doesnt agree with the settings. Still overall this is a relatively minor, if occasionally annoying, issue. This also a fairly expensive hotel by Strasbourg standards but if your travel budger can take the hit it is well worth the cost

Disliked: the lighting in the bathroom was so poor I could not see properly to do my makeup. The lighting created dark shadows over my face. There were no other mirrors in the room and no full length mirror.

Disliked: No water pressure in shower. A mere drip from the shower head. Despite asking reception, nothing was done during our stay.

Great location but I would...

Liked: The location in the old part of town was wonderful. Major attractions like the Cathedral and sightseeing boats were a 10 to 15 minute walk.
Disliked: The room was in the older Pavillon and not the newer Régent Petite France building where breakfast and restaurant service was provided. Likewise reception staff, concierge were only at the new building. It seemed the older part is being gradually phased out and not kept to the standard of the newer building. Breakfast was disappointing and not as varied as other hotels of this calibre.
