Superb

Comfy but looks old

Liked: Large hotel with a nice outdoor seating area. Easy access to Ullswater. Room was comfy. Buffet breakfast.
Disliked: Dinner on site was expensive and is a set menu. The local pub is 2 minutes away and very nice for meals and drinks. The room was nice (recently refurbished) but lacked outlets near the bed, bathroom wasn't very modern and overall the hotel seems a bit old.

Liked: have stayed several times before. This time staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Disliked: It’s tired, very, very tired. It doesn’t deserve to be in that location. It could be so much more with investment.

Disliked: Some of the staff were rather brusque and not exactly customer service orientated. Eg at the bar kind of telling us off for not having a piece of paper with us to add drinks to a tab, and at breakfast beginning to clear up the buffet before we’d sat down to eat. We felt in the way!
