Liked: Beautiful grounds, free parking, we didn’t use the swimming pool or tennis courts but would have if we had stayed longer. Comfortable bar, and top quality restaurant food.
Disliked: My only complaint was that the security guard didn’t know that we needed access to our bicycles, he didn’t know where they were stored, and didn’t have the keys to unlock the storage. It delayed us 1.5 hours, and was stressful because we thought we wouldn’t be able to do the ride we had planned on the IOW.

Liked: Location. Facilities & garden. Country house charm, lived in, but stylish. Good breakfast, and dinner menu very good.
Disliked: WiFi a bit 'patchy'. Sound insulation could be better, but it's an old building.

A PLEASING RELAXING BREAK WITH...

Liked: Superb staff, excellent breakfast and a clean comfortable room
Disliked: A walk-in shower is always preferable once a certain age is reached!

Liked: Nice bar. Pleasant gardens and grounds.
Disliked: Staff took a long time to get my bike. I almost missed my ferry to the Isle of Wight.

I really enjoyed my stay...

Liked: Excellent dinner, really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast also excellent. Only concern is there are not many disabled rooms but that is the design of the hotel due to its age. Everywhere possible they have made it accessible. A really lovely place to visit.
Disliked: The hotel is a little tired looking but charming.

Excellent Trip

Liked: Wonderful unique country hotel, excellent staff, lovely full breakfast, very clean and relaxing. Really nice break away from the city, I will definitely go again.
Disliked: I can't think of anything that I didn't like
