Parkside International Hotel

We were greeted by a nice receptionist; checked in quickly and accessed our room easily. Room was fine - clean with shower over the bath and tea and coffee making facilities. The TV had plenty of channels and worked well. The room cost £220.00 and this reflects the season and the Reading festival being on. Overall it was an average room and served the purpose of a convenient location to walk to the Reading Festival.

Liked: Good location for Reading Festival.
Disliked: Overpriced for the room but to be expected as it was during the Reading Festival.

Value for money

Liked: Good location, clean and lovely staff. Kinda does what it says on the tin - also parking included which is great!
Disliked: Big dated but good value for money. Was very warm but I think that’s just due to the way it’s built!

Liked: Staff were helpful and accommodating, the breakfast was good
Disliked: The outside of the hotel was tired and looked like a building site. The rooms were dirty and out-dated. Bugs on the window sill, dusty, limescale, beds weren't comfy, could feel the springs, had to use a spoon to get the plug out of the sink, remote control was filthy. Were shown two other rooms and these were just as bad

Liked: Convent and reasonably priced, loads of parking and easy to check in. Room had a fan which was appreciated.
Disliked: Bit dated, bed not that comfy

Liked: The hotel is located in a quiet cozy place, near Prospect Park, school, 10 minutes walk to a grocery store. The hotel allows animals. Since we have dogs, it is very convenient.
