A modern purpose-built hotel the Parkside International offers rooms with attached bathroom free on-site parking and a bar and restaurant. The hotel is just 1.5 miles from Reading town center. The rooms have simple stylish decor. flat-screen TV and free WiFi throughout. All rooms have an private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. The lounge bar serves coffee light meals and snacks. The Park Brasserie is open for breakfast and dinner. There is also a Brasserie lounge area with comfortable sofas and a wide-screen TV. Reading Railway Station is 1.6 miles from the hotel and Junctions 11 and 12 of the M4 motorway are 10 minutes' drive away. The town's shopping district is a 25-minute walk away and Prospect Park is 1312 feet from the hotel. The Madejski Football Stadium Reading Abbey and Reading Museum are all within 10 minutes' drive. *Pets are welcome to come along and stay with you however they are not permitted in the Restaurant/Bar Area.

We were greeted by a nice receptionist; checked in quickly and accessed our room easily. Room was fine - clean with shower over the bath and tea and coffee making facilities. The TV had plenty of channels and worked well. The room cost £220.00 and this reflects the season and the Reading festival being on. Overall it was an average room and served the purpose of a convenient location to walk to the Reading Festival.

Liked: Good location for Reading Festival.
Disliked: Overpriced for the room but to be expected as it was during the Reading Festival.

Passable

Liked: I think if the rooms were cleaner I would have gave a better score.
Disliked: The fact that there was spiders, dirty skin and floor, also the bed sheets had stains on them. Over all the cleanliness of the hotel let the rest of it down.
