Fantastic experience

Liked: The hotel was very clean, the staff was accommodating and very friendly. The best part was the location! Everything Auckland has to offer is right outside the door.

Liked: The location was fabulous. Walking distance from War Museum, Art Gallery, Auckland Tower, and the vintage restaurants and shops in Grafton. A couple of mini markets nearby if you wanted to cook in the apartment. Bus stop nearby and taxi drivers knew the hotel well. Cleaning service very reliable every day, front desk staff polite and helpful.
Disliked: Tour buses do not stop at this hotel but there are two nearby big chain hotels within walking distance where tours pick you up from. Hotel restaurant not in service for any meals but they offer in room continental breakfast if you order the night before.

Dissatisfied

Liked: The Location.
Disliked: It was the Customer service for me. I wasn't sure we're to go as I felt like the hotel person serving me was rushing me through the process, then forgot or skipped the part we're she was meant to tell me we're to go how to use and find the elevator I ended up accidently going out a door I wasn't meant to just to get out of the basement to go back to reception because we weren't told were to or if there were any elevators, or were to find our car park. The bed was so firm and painful not to mention how hard the pillows were I left with a sore neck feeling so happy to go home to my own bed I spent $500+ for 2 nights stay, so I left very unhappy.

Liked: The pool and the location is pretty central. And the view was good!
Disliked: The rooms are sadly really outdated. The balcony looked like it was going to crumble away. The bathroom paint is pretty flakey too. Really needs a good overhaul, Should get the restaurant up and running again as the place seems dead. Would stay again though.

Exceptional

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff - allowed us to leave our car in the parking for a couple of hours after the checkout time and store luggage before we headed to the airport. Huge room with great facilities including a washing machine. Good central location.
