The location of the hotel...

Liked: Balcony was our favorite part. Room was large, but very small bathroom. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: There is no public ice maker, had to ask for ice anytime we wanted it. Hotel is historic. Floors squeak and water pressure in shower is poor.

Liked: It was a really cool old hotel. The location was great. The balcony view of the park was beautiful.
Disliked: It was very noisy all night. The train came through really late, and woke us up.

Liked: We love the historical charm of this property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and when we checked in, they shared a lot of the original historical details and stories with us. She also upgraded us because we were celebrating a birthday.
Disliked: The noise level was on the high side. Because this is a historical property the insulation isn’t super great and it is right next to the train tracks and a loud bar with music. However, when you check in, you can ask for a white noise machine, which helps a lot.

Disliked: Carpets were in need of vacuuming both days I stayed there. Linens were clean but basic room needed a good scrubbing . No refrigerator in room. Had to ask for a hair dryer. There was a chemical smell in the room.
