Liked: Great location for our needs. Wonderful restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Staff always pleasant.
Disliked: Some upgrades to help with accessibility are needed, especially to the units located across the street (where we were). Don't know about other units, but ours didn't have grab bars in the shower. Seems that should be a given for safety.

Liked: Location - close to restaurants and located in a quiet safe walkable neighborhood
Disliked: King bed in our room was so stiff that any movement disturbed the other sleeper

Ok for a quick stay

Liked: Good location. Liked the suite with kitchen.
Disliked: Booked for 5 people but was not provided with any extra blankets for the sofa bed. Luckily we had a blanket in the car to use. There was also hair on the bathroom floor from the previous guests. The bedrooms had no air-conditioning and I couldn't open the windows because our windows were right beside the garbage dump.

First room had pee on...

Disliked: We booked a king room and were immediately hit with the overwhelming smell of urine. Someone had clearly urinated on the carpet next to the bed, and the odor was so strong it made me gag. I cannot understand how cleaning staff didn’t notice — or how this room was ever rented out.The front desk moved us to another room (and made a joke about the situation, which wasn’t appreciated). The second room didn’t smell, but it had a hole above the shower from a rotting ceiling.The hotel boasts “renovated” rooms, but it seems they only renovated the living rooms — the bedrooms and bathrooms are dated and in poor shape. Between the filth in the first room and the disrepair in the second, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I loved fhe location

Liked: Location, location, and location, it’s in the center of Portland, 5 min drive from Powell’s used bookstore and this one has plenty of parking
Disliked: No breakfast
