Liked: If you like to be near Central Park, Madison Av and 5th av this is de best place. Nice views over Central Park.
Disliked: * Airconditioning was not working properly during the heatwave. Room temperature was between 24.5 and 26.5 degrees Celsius. One night is was okay, next four nights to hot. After complaining no indication whether someone was actually planning to fix it. Manager promised to reach out but he never did. I understand stuff can malfunction but at least communicate to your customers paying 600 USD per night (I had three rooms for five nights!).* Had breakfast in the Darling rooftop. Nice views but breakfast itself is very limited. Same for the second floor. Poor English speaking staff leading to wrong orders. Again, this advertises as 5-star facility. * Had a terrible experience when my son forgot his hotel key. Won’t go into details but boy, the desk woman surely can do a customer-service 101 course. Spending 10.000 dollar in a hotel means nothing in this hotel is the take I got from it. * Loud rap music at the end of the day in the hotel lobby. Not sure why you would do that?

A good hotel, would be...
Liked: Superb location. with stunning panoramic views of Central Park.Cheerful and attentive staff, exceptionally family friendly - all staff members responded quickly and effectively to all of our requests - we were really impressed!Front Desk, Concierge, Bellhops, Housekeeping, Restaurant Staff - we would like to thank all team members for their outstanding service! The common areas of the hotel have been beautifully renovated. Overall we experienced a wonderful six night stay with our family at the Park Lane Hotel in New York City!
Disliked: However, we candidly note a few areas to improve, which detracted just a little bit from our overall positive experience:The A/C struggled with hot July days, so that the room temperature could not be cooled below 80 degrees on two days. Room fans were provided to mitigate the situation. There is no complimentary coffee / tea available in the lobby, room or elsewhere in the hotel. It is a shame that the formerly regal Park Room grandly overlooking Central Park (where breakfast had been served in former days) has been emptied out and is now "Out of Service & Out of Bounds" for hotel guests. (We did get a private showing of this unique area upon request). The room safe was not working upon our arrival. The safe was immediately repaired when we raised the issue, but failed again after further two days. As we felt the the hotel to be very safe, we then just let this issue be.Late night weekend music from the rooftop terrace was a bit too loud for our room located 3 floors below.

Liked: Bell boy/ taxi assistance staff great
Disliked: Air conditioning pathetic. No room service provided. Called concierge for towels never arrived when told three times they would come. Someone else’s dirty sock on floor in closet. No hand soap in bathroom. Empty slipper pocket.
