Unhygiencic and rude
Liked: The location was incredibly convenient.
Disliked: Checked in, unpacked and realised there was someone else's makeup stains on my pillow. Our room didn't get serviced on the first day, had to ask for it to be serviced on the second day and again blatant makeup stains on my pillow and she's didn't change the bedding. Had to ask for fresh towels on the second morning because our room hadn't been serviced and despite being "fresh" had great big black like mascara stains all over them. We misplaced our key on one night and were met with the rudest staff member. Gave her all our details and she was still adamant we didn't have a room there, despite showing her the booking too. Absolutely wouldn't recommend and wouldn't stay again.

Convenient, comfortable, and efficient.
Liked: Location close to city centre and next to the river.Clever design of standard room and en suite. The hotel having it's own secure gated car park - it cost £15 a day, but that's less than the nearby alternatives.Being able to open the room windows, or leave them closed but open a ventilation slot at the top.The fastest lifts we've ever known. We were on the 7th floor and never had to wait more than 20 seconds. The Whippet Inn immediately opposite. It's understated, got a nice ambience, and we had an excellent meal there.Being between a generally quiet road, and the river.
Disliked: The Park Inn must be about the ugliest building in York - a real eyesore.Being disturbed in the early hours on one night by very rowdy kids going to & from a nightclub at the far end of the road - just one of those things though, on a high floor and once windows were closed the noise was not too intrusive.
