Excellent place to stay; very close to city centre.

Liked: Close to the centre of Northampton. Nice and clean.
Disliked: Lacking a fridge in the room but it’s not a biggy!

I was playing at the Roadmender with my band and booked the hotel through ConcertHotels.co.uk. Because of the check in times we went to the venue first and played our set. Upon arriving at the hotel we were told they had no reservation in our name. Luckily I had a copy of our booking confirmation and the young lady behind the desk was very helpful in sorting out the booking and even gave us complimentary parking as an apology for the inconvenience.

Liked: Decent sized room; clean; comfy bed; good for centre of town.
Disliked: Water pressure not very good on 7th floor.

Disliked: Shame the bathrooms still have mold in the tiles and also breakfast still same old hotel buffet

Disliked: stains on the sheets mattress topper on mattress ash all over window no Netflix or YouTube on tv

Liked: The room was clean, the staff were really helpful, the shower was great and the bar was excellent
Disliked: Had king size room that was 2 beds joined together. However, the bed was really comfortable

Liked: Comfortable room, recently refurbished. Refurbished public areas of the hotel are also nice. Location and car parking both good.
Disliked: It's a pity the refurbishment only included patching-up, rather than re-fitting, the bathrooms. Rusty fittings and black mold on the shower mastic were somewhat off-putting. Our room keys repeatedly failed and had to be replaced on several occasions, which was tedious. The location of the hotel is good but the initial walking route to the town centre is horrible from a number of perspectives. Not the hotel's fault of course, more the result years of planning blunders and neglect on the part of the by the local Council of what was once an attractive town centre.
