Reception excellent, good polite service. Nice clean areas and comfortable bedroom. The hotel is situated near all shopping areas and the Motorpoint Arena. This was our first visit to the hotel which was recommended by family and friends. An excellent breakfast made our stay a memorable one. Hopefully we shall return again.

We booked this hotel as it was opposite the Motorpoint Arena, which we were going to. The mattress had seen better days and was very lumpy; room needed a make over. We were on the 5th floor but it was very noisy all night due to the area being serviced and cleaned up. Not the best Park Inn by Radisson we have stayed in.

Disliked: Room very hot; cupboard broken; door hanging off; bed lumpy.

Liked: There are 3 things I want from a hotel. Good bed, strong shower and good location. This hotel had these.
Disliked: There is no air conditioning, the fact that the on-site parking cost £25 and this was not clearly detailed and the room decor/ paint needs a refurb.

Disliked: Unable to get in the room as the key card didn't work throughout the whole stay, we had to keep going to reception from the 3rd floor to have it reset, and it still didn't work finally was let in by a member of staff. Overpriced parking and some of the evenings staff are rude and unhelpful. Room far to hot, no aircon or fans.

Liked: The location of this hotel is very good. A three minute walk to St David's shopping mall and the main shopping high street, Cardiff castle etc.
Disliked: I've visited this hotel many times over the years, but on this occasion it was a bit disappointing. I paid over £500 for a two night stay, for one room, which should have been a twin and turned out to be a large double - not too much of a problem as it was me and my daughter, but I did ask twice if we had a twin room. Due to the Noah Khan concert being on at the weekend, the hotel inflated their prices to over £200 per night! Aside from the foyer, the general appearance of the hotel is very worn - carpets are filthy, paintwork hasn't been updated in years and one lift wasn't working - the other lift took ages to reach any floors and we were on the 4th floor, so wasn't really viable to walk up and down. Whilst they do have a carpark, it cost £45 for 48 hours, so for almost £600, I would have expected better. Staff were pleasant enough, but probably won't stay here again.
