Not coming back

Liked: The location was great.We had to change the room twice... The first room was really dirty (would have been happy with an additional cleaning service but they gave us a new room), second room was next to some kids playing music high volume for hours... Third room was ok. Staff was great and accommodating. Check in was easy. Beds were comfy.
Disliked: We had to change the room twice, so that was not great. All three rooms lacked the cleanliness we desired (eg sticky table tops). The rooms have the size of cruise cabins, so very small. Putting a shower and a toilet on display is nice for big, decadent rooms, here it was just ridiculous. Nobody wants to hear their partner's toilet noises. The shower kept turning hot-cold-hot-cold. Small complaint: the mugs don't fit under the coffee machine, how hard can it be to get such a detail right?At night the entrance to Alexanderplatz is shut off - you have to walk 10 min through dodgy area to get to main entrance.At check out we were barked at: "The box for the rooms keys is over there!". No "thank you for the stay", no question how it was and whether we liked it.

Good but could be better….

Liked: The hotel location is great. It’s easily accessible as it’s right in the heart of Alexanderplatz, in close proximity to the U Bahn, various places to eat and different types of stores. The room was cleaned on a daily basis too.
Disliked: Unfortunately there was several things about the property that could be improved. For the price, the room is very small. The TV didn’t work properly with the signal cutting in and out making it impossible to watch. The shower temperature also isn’t stable with it varying from boiling hot to freezing cold, without touching the temperature gauge. Whilst it is understandably a solo room, the bathroom facilities would be much better if they were separate. The room overheats very quickly when the shower is on leading to condensation.Also and this is something that isn’t mentioned when booking, there is considerable building work going on outside at the moment. Work starts very early at 7am so if you’re a light sleeper, forget having any sort of lie in.

Liked: We loved the location . Close to everything and have good transportation near by.
Disliked: We had several problems during our stay.The toilet was clogged every morning for four days, making it very difficult to start our day normally.Despite our requests, housekeeping did not clean our room for three days, even though we made sure not to press the “Do Not clean” button.The shower water temperature was unstable, constantly shifting between extremely hot and freezing cold.We are simple travelers who only wanted a basic, comfortable place to stay. While problems can happen, the staff was not helpful — one even hung up the phone on us when we tried to explain the situation.Additionally, almost everything in the hotel comes with an extra charge: €2 per piece of luggage (even backpacks) and €1 just to use the restroom in the lobby.These are basic services that should be included, especially in a hotel that claims to be 4 stars.Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
