The Park Hotel is in a quiet area in the center of this historic seaside town half a mile from Montrose Train Station and the golf course. Poor

Liked: Breakfast was really good
Disliked: The LHS of the bed was really terrible and most uncomfortable - it was like sleeping in a ditch!Bathroom was old and really tatty, paint flaking off side of the bath, looked bad! Barman or night porter was most unwelcoming in bar.

Very poor

Disliked: Springs in matttress were digging into my hips so didn't sleep well at all. Water pressure from shower was terrible. Didnt wash hair as would have taken too long

Nice stay, lovely room, comfy...

Liked: Good parking, central, nice public areas
Disliked: Shower was terrible and breakfast buffet and service slow. Could be so much better. More choice of drinks at bar and function room would improve. No Guiness or decent rose wine

Very good

Liked: Nice room had everything we needed.
Disliked: Breakfast was included in the room rate, but we didn't get any. It was a Sunday morning, breakfast room was packed and staff overwhelmed. After waiting more than 20 minutes for coffee and food we have decided to leave with only one egg in our stomach as buffet was still empty.
