Liked: Hotel was undergoing renovation at the time. Many areas unfinished. My room was spacious and clean but showing water damage to the ceiling. Staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful, particularly the receptionist. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order.
Disliked: The condition of the decor of my room, (water damage to the ceiling, clearly visible).The shower took ages to get up to warm.

Liked: Great location would have preferred a sea view but we didn't spend much time in our room, breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of it to set us up for a walk about, great transport links ,we went to Saltburn, Durham, Middlesbrough,and Whitby.
Disliked: We were pre warned of ongoing renovations and some of the snags hadn't been finished in the bathroom but again we weren't in the room much

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Self service, lots of choice. Well cooked and replenished often, not sitting around long.
Disliked: Toast was brought to the table, would have preferred to make own toast after our cooked food
