Good stay, great staff, but.....
Liked: Staff were excellent especially the receptionist on the 8th June 10pm ish, sorted out another room efficiently, ground floor room was far better, especially with the patio area where we had breakfast outside. Rooms nice and clean, definitely would stay there again.
Disliked: Hotel needs a bit of TLC, two rooms both toilets didn't flush properly, 1st room 202 damage to shower floor repaired poorly IMHO also the shower floor was very slippy and felt unsafe around the repaired area. No lift, due to the hotel being a listed building but my partner is disabled, we was put on the second floor, I should have enquired about a more accessible room but also the fact we asked where the lift was situated and my partner had a walking stick didn't concern the receptionist, lack of experience maybe , my mind was on my dad's funeral the next day. Second night, room electrics didn't work, got moved to a ground floor room. These things happen.

Lack of communication. Nice breakfast.
Liked: Staff at breakfast were extremely helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was good. Bathroom very clean. Air on in room efficient and super quiet.
Disliked: Hotel staff upon check in did not inform us of any of the facilities, their location, opening hours or availability. We were also not informed about the restaurants for dinner nor told about check out times or breakfast location and time. We were located a second floor room and when I asked if a lift was available (cases, pregnant and toddler!) was told no. Once seen struggling receptionist did come round to offer help with our case and carried all the way to room for us. Bed was super soft but this meant that it dipped in the middle and persons rolled into each other.Sink in room also had issues draining.

We aware - This Hotel...
Liked: I liked the Spa staff - They were very welcoming and helpful -- They have different management to the hotel. My husband enjoyed the breakfast.
Disliked: Everything - Staff were not professional - No masks worn by some staff - Not much Covid cleaning or sanitisers in the Hotel --- Hotel is being used for the courts - So 3 courts were in operation - So security were there and many people and the Hotel was not in full Hotel mode . No one on Reception mentioned this to us and to be Honest it felt like we were intruding /A very disappointing stay .Hotel Photos do not look like any of the Photos - Under Renovation as well !!!Renovations to the Indian Restaurant and in full use all week for the courts - So the experience is not relaxing as bar closed and security in all areas of the Hotel .The Spa is also a members spa and gym - Spa staff ere excellent.
