Stay pretty much anywhere else!

Liked: Very little went well. The shower was decent, though it would have been nice if it had a bench or ledge for shaving. A real fireplace was nice, but you can only use Duralogs, which you are not told ahead of time, and they charge $8 for each one. For $400+ a night, you'd think they could provide at least one complimentary. Pro tip, there is a WalMart and several grocery stores 7 minutes away on the same road. The mattress was reasonably comfortable.
Disliked: This place is a dump to put it mildly. We would have checked out and gone elsewhere if we could have gotten out of the reservation. We were expecting Vegas style cheesy but with so many positive reviews, at least expected a clean, comfortable, well maintained facility.The "campus" is several buildings spread out, all of which are beyond poorly maintained. The grounds are scrubby weeds and broken branches, walkways are crumbling, siding is falling off and rotted, decor looks like it was from the Dollar Tree. I question how well anything is cleaned as there was literal blood on the tile surrounding the pool in the room. Both bathrooms were clovered in black mold and the rooms smell like a high school gym. We were moved to a different room, but no real apology or even a comped fire log or drink. This place will nickle and dime you to death. At this price point, I would expect a few niceties. Even more than 2 small towels in the room. Even when we asked for extras, we never received them.It sounds nice to have a jacuzzi, pool, and sauna, but these were not as billed. The plunge pool is So much smaller than appearing in the pictures. I honestly have been in larger hot tubs. The sauna is covered in trashy graffiti. The heart shaped whirlpool is the depth of a regular bath tub and the controls are in a different room than the tub itself. If you want to start the jets, you have to climb out and got into the bedroom. All are in poor repair (broken tiles, crumbling, stains and cigarette burns, visible mold). The temperature was also hard to control. We had to set the unit at 60 just to not roast and I am one of those people who is always cold and sets my temp at 72 at home. The unit is super noisy as are the fans i nthe bathroom, which do little to handle the smell and moisture. Everything we brought with us had to be washed when we got home as it was damp and mildewy smelling.We did the breakfast and dinner package. Don't. breakfast was an ok buffet.

Liked: The room was great, the location was amazing. Staff was fun.
Disliked: The price is more than I expected. I stayed at the same place last year and paid $300 less.The rooms are pretty dated despite renovations. It smell old and a bit like a motel. Other than that, its my favorite place in the poconos. Maybe a routine paint, scents in the room and the carpet holds everything ( hence, the old smell ).
