It was Paridise! Loved it!!
Liked: Really liked the quiet away from the city. The view from our lanai was beautiful. Loved the pool & jacuzzi for the end of the day. All the staff was very friendly. Enjoyed our excursion to the sand bar. Thank you Chris for being such great person to see each day.
Disliked: The ramp where we got the kayaks was really slippery.

If we had had the...
Liked: Staff was lovely and helpful. Banana bread each morning was yummy. Enjoyed lounging on floating docks and walking down to the beach where a sea turtle was hanging out every day of our stay! The boat ride for snorkeling was amazing!
Disliked: Thought I had booked a room with a balcony but, apparently I did not. They did upgrade us, which was nice but room needed updating, cleaning, and more comfortable furniture so it didn't really feel like an upgrade. Roosters walk us up every morning, which I enjoyed but my daughter did not. Key to room was hard to get door open but staff member showed us a trick to make it work.

I will not stay here...
Liked: Great staff. When our room on the first night was unacceptable, they upgraded us and gave us 2 nights without the resort fee. There was also a wonderful evening entertainer. This could be a great little place but furniture was cheap outdoor furniture and few places to put things. You definitely need a car as nothing is close by.
Disliked: No one warned us that this is the wet and windy side of the island. Although we paid a resort fee, the hot tub was not hot, fees were charged for the few kayaks and one paddle board and we were charged for parking too.

Beautiful place to stay
Liked: The resort was in a lovely spot with a nice view of the Kahalu'u Pond. It's in a quiet neighbored hood off the beaten path. The rooms where spacious with very comfortable beds and all you need to cook your own meals. Bathroom was absolutely beautiful. I also appreciated all the Wonderfull windows and heavy curtains to close at night. There were several sliding glass doors so you could open them all up and really enjoy the fabulous weather. When we where able to sit on the deck of the room it was absolutely fantastic. Best morning place for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Disliked: The living room furniture and deck furniture were not too comfortable. We were having a really great experience until new guest arrived at the unit right across from us. They were extremely loud, rude and disrespectful. To the point we were not able to enjoy the wonderful view from our deck or really open all the curtains and doors. Due to the closest of the decks and the fact that the resort has no control of rude people that do create an ugly experience I wouldn't come back. While there's a quite of bit of parking it was a bit of a nightmare because again 'people' just don't have any consideration for others and take up extra spaces or park crooked so you can't use a space... etc.

We are used to staying...
Liked: The view. The pool.
Disliked: No beach, no good nearby restaurants, room was not as nice as expected, especially for the price, thin walls, could see lights from occupants adjoining door, and hear some conversations. Furniture was uncomfortable( except bed).

Home away from home
Liked: The view from this room was spectacular! We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a kitchen, dining room, living room, sizable patio (with furniture), nice-sized bathroom, and a private walkway to front door. We loved this room because of the location on the property and the ease to get from parking lot to the room. We love the amenities on the property, including a full BBQ kitchen area, a floating barge with very nice patio furniture, and they even provide lanterns in the evening hours to enjoy a romantic dinner on the barge (prepared on the bbq). The morning coffee and banana bread spread is amazing and the coffee they serve at Paradise Bay is outstanding. Just about every room has an exceptional view of the bay. There are loads of activities they provide including; kayak, stand up paddle board, and even a work out room. Hiking, Snorkeling, swimming, surfing and even basketball are just a short walk or drive from the hotel. Additionally, the front desk help, specifically Kris, are amazing! Kris exceeds your expectations by going above and beyond to ensure your stay is everything you dreamed it would be. Our son attends UH, Manoa and we prefer to stay out of Waikiki when we come to Hawaii. Paradise is perfectly situated in an area that is both quiet but accessible to many restaurants, shopping and evening affair. Mahalo.
Disliked: There is nothing bad I could write about this property, staff or location.
