City centre pod hotel comfy...
Liked: The pod are very well thought with space to leave stuff, charge, the light, fan, comfy bed, hooks. I was really surprised and it was very quiet. The hotel is right in the centre of the city and easy walking access to mountain cable car. Love the parking nearby too.
Disliked: Whistler is expensive for sure but maybe for a pod the cost is a little high. Also the bathroom was not very clean.

Highly recommended for solo ski/snowboard-ers
Liked: Shared amenities were kept very clean. There's a separate locker room for all of your ski gear. The location was so close to the ski lifts! Great for solo travelers who just want to ski/snowboard.
Disliked: It's possible to get bad podders in the shared space. But that's not the hotel's fault, just something to consider.

DANGEROUS accommodations, INCOMPETENT staff.
Liked: Location, price, concept.
Disliked: I was having a very enjoyable time at the Pangea, until on my second of three days, the shower handle fell onto my right big toe. It had some pretty good heft to it and I am in considerable pain almost a week later. When I let the front desk guy know, he seemed pretty unfazed. They offered to call me a cab to the hospital for an X-Ray but did not offer to pay for it. They then returned the BROKEN handle to the shower, creating a continued HAZARD to any other unknowing guest sharing the suite (ie Benny and Sara who had just checked in). The lack of concern for guest safety and negligence in returning the broken handle to the shower was totally inexcusable. I went from thinking accidents happen, I’m unlucky, to believing this place is just negligent. I was planning to snowboard an additional five days, but my injured big toe made every other turn a nightmare. The management team at Pangea insinuated that I hurt myself, when in fact, I was hurt by THEIR broken shower. A broken shower they returned to service immediately without replacing the screw that allowed it to fall and injure me. They offered no refund and ruined the remaining five days of my Whistler trip. Stay somewhere else!
