Disliked: Upon arrival we asked for a room with a view of the pool or a quiet side. As a result we were placed in a room where you can hear the car bombing all night long. In the bathroom, there are only two towels, they do not provide separate towels for hands and face. I previously wrote a letter to congratulate the second guest, she had a birthday, they did not bring us anything to the room! We are very upset with your hotel! With respect, Olena Oleynik

Liked: We had the most amazing experience at The Steward in Santa Barbara! My family and I booked this hotel for my wedding — a small elopement with just our immediate family (10 of us total) — and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The property feels secluded and peaceful, with so many beautiful areas where we could gather together. It made everything feel intimate and special, exactly what we were hoping for.My husband and I were given a room in a separate building, which was such a thoughtful touch and allowed us some private space away from the rest of the family on our wedding night. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating — they even let me store my wedding cake in their fridge!Breakfast both mornings was absolutely delicious, and every little detail of our stay just added to the magic of the weekend. I truly can’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate such a special moment. We can't wait to come back and visit for our anniversaries!
Disliked: The only small disappointment was that we were promised a decorated room for our special day, but unfortunately, we didn’t receive any decorations. We also noticed one of the robes was missing from our room. It wasn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but a little extra touch would have made it even more memorable. I also hope they expand their gym one day, as it’s a bit on the smaller side.Overall, it was an amazing stay, and The Steward truly was the perfect setting for our wedding.

Liked: The property was in a good location. Loved all the trees and greenery around.
Disliked: Attention to detail was lacking during my stay. The A/C was not working as it should, the TV controls were either missing or nonfunctional, and there were no screens on the windows—details that should be checked ahead of a guest’s arrival.

Wish I had not stayed...

Liked: It looks good. Pool is family friendly
Disliked: The beds are not comfortable. The restaurant is bad. The food is meh. The vibe sucked. The housekeeper never came to our room. There’s a smell. It’s noisy. It’s not good. But it looks good. But it’s bad. Would not go back.

Nice hotel- quiet and peaceful.

Liked: This is a really nice hotel a bit off the beaten path for a visit to Barbara - yet that is what is so nice about it.. no parking or traffic issues here. The grounds are well kept and the trees are lovely. The room is nice, modern and clean- all amenities are available. The staff were helpful and friendly- I would recommend a second floor room - as the folks above me during my stay were very loud. Other than that, I would recommend The Steward.

Disliked: Pillows weren’t very comfortable. Sofa in the seating area appeared very worn and threadbare.

Liked: The good: The hotel is pretty and they had our room ready a bit early which was nice!The bad: we were given a room at the very back corner of the hotel which fronted the freeway. The freeway noise was pretty incessant all night. We tried to turn on the AC as white noise but it was even louder and worse. There was also significant construction going on next to the property which made it difficult to enter and exit.

Liked: I loved the attentiveness of the staff and how relaxing the property was. From the moment I drove in, the 2 chairs our front were inviting.
Disliked: The sofa bed was not as comfortable as I would’ve liked, but other than that no complaints.
