Liked: The hotel was fresh and pleasant, conveniently located near the Johan Cruyff Arena. The breakfast was also very good. Thank you!

Very disappointing experience at check-in.

Disliked: I stayed at Ozo Hotel Arena Amsterdam with my wife, friends, and their 2-year-old son. We had booked two rooms and contacted the hotel in advance to request that they be close to each other for childcare reasons. We were told they would try, but on arrival we were placed on different floors, with no explanation or effort made.What truly ruined the experience was the attitude of the male receptionist who checked us in on 17/07/2025 around 11-11.30pm. He was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. His behavior made us feel very unwelcome — almost like we were bothering him just by arriving. We were left questioning whether we were being treated this way because we are Asian, which was deeply upsetting.To be clear: I did not encounter other staff, so I can only speak about this one individual — but this first impression was unacceptable. I later saw many other reviews mentioning similar staff behavior, which suggests this may be a recurring issue.I hope the hotel takes steps to improve their guest service, because as it stands, I would not recommend staying here.

Very good

Liked: Great location for concerts/ events in Johan Cruijff arena. Arena, metro station, Lidl, big bus/train station few minutes walk away. Very nice stuff. Overall good experience.
Disliked: Bathroom could have been completely non-see through but it wasn’t as bad as we expected based on the reviews. You could only see silhouettes a little, but hear everything…

Superb

Liked: It was super close to Johan Cruyff Arena. Easy to walk there and come back. I didn't eat breakfast though. The room was very nice

Disappointed

Liked: The hotel was well situated for our needs. Reception personnel was friendly.
Disliked: I was rather disappointed as it is a 4 stars hotel. It is a little outdated once you go upstairs. The bedlinen wasn't clean. We couldn't open the window properly. I believe we paid too much for what we got unfortunately. I could understand if we were in the city center, but that was not the case.

Liked: Nobody bothered us, I guess.
Disliked: The bathroom floor had mould.The toilet lid wasn't in properly and it came off.The hallway floors were rough. The toilet is a glass box, no doors, no nothing. So have fun watching and hearing your partner pee? Staff was ok, I guess. Not friendly, not rude either. There were 2 of us and they only gave us one key, lol? I had to ask for another one.This is a 2 star hotel at best, i dont know how they got 4. 300 and something euros for 2 nights and this is the worst hotel ive stayed at.
