Liked: Good location. Parking available.
Disliked: When we arrived, the receptionist gave us no eye contact, seemed really bored, was muttering things whilst looking behind her so we couldn't hear her, and kept looking at her phone. When we got to our room, the bedding was clean, but the room was filthy, thick with dust, with bits of crisps and food all over the floor. In the morning, we went to make ourselves a coffee, but there was none, and the cups and glasses had not been changed since the last people and had coffee in the bottom and lip marks. When we went to complain the Receptionist was professional and apologetic. The person behind us in the queue said his room was the same. When we came back after a day out the room still hadn't been cleaned. We have stayed here several times before and always found it pleasant. This time was very disappointing.

Disliked: Upon arrival we were told, that they do not have any clean rooms for us (we arrived around 4 pm, 2 hours after check in). After waiting for about half an hour, they gave us a room. Guess what, it was absolutely filthy, shower dirty and sort of moldy. Black hair and black body hair everywhere - on floors inc. bathroom, our bed and even our “clean” towels had strangers hair inside, and to that I would add that I am blonde and my friend is a redhead. I won’t even go into much detail about the bathroom logistics, since apparently even though you close the shower doors, the water will end up everywhere anyway and the milk glass had gaps big enough that anyone in the room can see what you’re doing in there. Had I have not been so exhausted already, I would have demanded a refund on the spot, purely due to the lacking hygiene alone, because what we saw was definitely not okay. Instead, we just tried to clean the room ourselves (which is a funny experience at a 4* hotel, may I add). I don’t know why is this not a common sense, but your guest does not and should not care if you are properly staffed in case of a large event happening nearby. Hygiene should be top priority for ANY hotel, let alone one that claims a 4* rating.
